Privacy Policy

Turboset ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Hong Kong SAR, operates the Turboset mobile app and https://turboset.ai (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Turboset is a 3D car configurator. You pick a car, customise its paint, wheels, stance, wraps, and decals, and save your builds. From a build you can create studio videos, which our servers render on GPUs from your exact configuration without AI, and photorealistic photos, which are generated with AI. Using the app requires a Turboset Pro subscription and a signed-in account. Videos and photos use credits.

Account and sign-in. You sign in with Apple or with Google. Apple may share a stable user identifier and, if you choose, your name and email address (which may be a private relay address). Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture. We store your account identifier, email address, and session data through our authentication provider, Supabase.

Profile and credits. We store an optional display name, your credit balance, and a record of credit changes (credits granted by your subscription or a credit pack purchase, credits spent on a video or photo, and refunds for ones that fail).

Saved builds. When you save a build, we store its configuration (car model, colours, finishes, wheels, stance, wraps, decal placements, and related settings), its name, and a small thumbnail image.

Photos you add. If you use a photo as a decal, wrap pattern, or wheel centre cap, you choose it from your photo library or take it with your camera. Turboset only receives the photos you pick; it does not scan your library. When you save a build that uses your artwork, we upload the artwork so the build and its videos can be rendered.

Studio videos. When you create a studio video, we send a snapshot of your build (including any artwork it uses) to GPU servers operated by RunPod, which render the video and return it to us. We store the finished video, its poster image, the build snapshot, and technical details of the render (status, timing, and errors) so the video appears in My videos and so we can fix failed renders.

AI photos. When you create a photorealistic photo, we send a screenshot of your car from the configurator, a close-up of its wheels, the scene you chose, and any scene description you type to our servers, which pass them to OpenAI to generate the image. We use these inputs only to create the photo you asked for and to charge credits for it.

Subscriptions and purchases. Subscriptions and credit packs are sold by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchases, unlock Turboset Pro, and add credits to your account. RevenueCat receives your account identifier and purchase details from Apple. We never receive your payment card details.

On your device. The app keeps some information only on your device, including your onboarding answers (such as how you heard about us, your goals, and the look you are going for), favourite brands and cars, awards you have earned, and when you were last asked to rate the app. Your display name from onboarding is also saved to your profile when you sign in.

Saving to Photos. If you save a video or photo, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It only adds items you save.

Technical data. Our servers and hosting providers log standard technical data (such as IP address, device and browser type, request times, and errors) for security and reliability. The configurator in the app loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them.

Website. If you visit https://turboset.ai, our hosting provider may log standard technical data for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers on the website.

Support. If you email us, including through Send feedback or Help in the app, we receive the information you include in your message and our correspondence with you.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

• Provide the Service: sign you in, save and load your builds, and keep your videos in My videos
• Render studio videos and generate AI photos you request
• Verify subscriptions and purchases, add credits, and refund credits for videos or photos that fail
• Keep the Service secure and reliable, investigate failures, and prevent abuse or fraud
• Respond to support requests and feedback
• Improve the Service, including which cars, wheels, and features we build next
• Comply with legal obligations

Where applicable, we process personal data on the basis of: performing our contract with you (providing the Service); our legitimate interests (security, reliability, improvement, and fraud prevention); your consent where required (for example, photo library and camera access, and optional data Apple or Google shares with us); and legal obligations.

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under terms that require them to protect it:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for builds, artwork, and videos
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and app rating prompts
• Google — Sign in with Google, and fonts used by the configurator
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
• RunPod — GPU servers that render studio videos from your builds
• OpenAI — AI photo generation from your screenshots and scene choices
• Expo — hosting the configurator and the app's servers
• Vercel — hosting the website

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

We keep your account, builds, artwork, videos, and credit records while your account is active. Files uploaded for a video that is never started are removed automatically. Server logs are kept for a limited period for troubleshooting.

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). This permanently removes your account, profile, credits, saved builds, uploaded artwork, and videos from our systems, subject to backups our providers keep for a short period. Videos and photos you saved to your photo library stay on your device.

Information kept only on your device remains until you delete the app.

If you are in Hong Kong, you may have rights under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), including to request access to and correction of your personal data. Contact us to make a request.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights (including objection, restriction, portability, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority). Contact us to exercise these rights.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We are based in Hong Kong SAR. We and our providers may process data in Hong Kong and in other countries (including the United States) where our infrastructure, rendering, and AI partners operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit your builds, artwork, and videos to your account, and time-limited links when files are passed to our rendering and AI providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
